SOLUTIONS

SOLUTIONS

There still are relatively safe areas in Ukraine.

Far away from the war zone, without any military facilities nor big infrastructure. Not a single missile has landed there during the entire war.

These are the areas in the western part of Ukraine.

Since the start of the war in February 2022, it has been the primary destination for the first wave of refugees from the Eastern Ukraine.

TECHNICAL SOLUTIONS

TECHNICAL SOLUTIONS

There exist modern and ecological technical solutions to construct wooden houses within 4-5 months.

Main advantages:

  • Quick construction - several times shorter than if using other materials;

  • Longevity - the service life of buildings is more than 100 years;

  • Low cost of construction;

  • Maximum interior space - up to 10% of the living space is saved due to the lower thermal conductivity of wood;

  • Environmentally friendly - up to 70% reduction of CO emissions during production compared to concrete and steel.

GREENHOUSES

Organic vegetable growing
in the greenhouses.

Association RETURN offers the possibility to the families who will reside in the main building to grow their vegetables in the greenhouses. These will be located close to the house. Each greenhouse will produce vegetables for four people throughout the year. We want to promote permaculture techniques to be applied in the greenhouses for a sustainable use of the soil. Compost bins will be made available to each family. The choice of vegetables can be made collectively or separately by each family. The greenhouses offer the possibility of exchanging harvested vegetables in an ecovillage atmosphere.

PROJECT RESULTS

PROJECT RESULTS

Thanks to the project, thousands of Ukrainians will be able to return home.

The beneficiaries of the project are:

  • Ukrainians living in Switzerland with protection status S.

  • Family members who are unable to come to Switzerland and are severely bored. Thanks to the project, family reunification takes place.

  • Swiss citizens whose taxes are used to provide asylum and social assistance to Ukrainians in Switzerland.

  • Swiss public institutions, which are constantly challenged by the large number of asylum seekers.

  • The 25,000 Swiss families who have generously offered hospitality and accommodation to Ukrainian families and are currently experiencing some discomfort due to the long stay of Ukrainians.

  • The Swiss, who are experiencing a housing shortage crisis, which has been greatly exacerbated by the need to accommodate Ukrainians (51,000 housing shortages in Switzerland).

  • Ukrainian State. Ukraine is currently experiencing an acute shortage of specialists and workers. The return of the labour force will result in an increase of the gross domestic product. The budgets, which are replenished from taxes, will also increase.

  • The Ukrainian state when the international community will be stimulated by our project and start investing in such humanitarian or commercial projects.
